Man Wanted in Dallas Arrested After Chase in California

A man wanted by Dallas police was arrested in Buena Park, California, after a chase Monday, according to local authorities.

Buena Park police said they received a tip that Jimison Coleman was selling drugs at a motel. When they checked his license plate number, they saw that he was wanted in connection with a homicide investigation in Dallas.

When officers approached, police said Coleman fled and led them on a high-speed chase.

Coleman eventually stopped in Irvine, exited the vehicle with his hands up and crawled toward officers, who arrested him.

As of Tuesday morning, Coleman was still being questioned at the Buena Park Police Department. Police said he has only been charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, but likely faces charges of evading arrest as well.

Prosecutors say 19-year-old Rian Lashley of Dallas died in March 2014 after using heroin allegedly sold by Coleman, who'll be returned to Texas.

Cierra Allyn Rounds of Dallas pleaded guilty last month to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a controlled substance. She faces up to 20 years in prison.

Authorities believe Lashley had $3,000 and the suspects wanted the cash.
