Police said a man was struck by a vehicle while crossing Interstate 35E in Denton Tuesday night.
Denton police and firefighters responded to a call about the crash in the 2200 block of North I-35E at 10:18 p.m. and found the man, thought to be in his 20s, injured at the scene.
Investigators said they believe the man was crossing the southbound lanes of I-35E when he was struck by a red Hyundai Tucson driven by a 26-year-old woman.
The man was transported by a medical helicopter to a hospital with injuries police considered to be life threatening.
Southbound I-35E was shut down near the I-35 split during the investigation.
