Man Shot, Killed After Opening Front Door

Friday morning, Dallas police are looking for the gunman who shot and killed Lorenzo Wilson Thursday night.

Police said Wilson, 58, opened the front door to his Brackins Village apartment at about 10:45  p.m. Thursday and was met with gunfire.

Officers responded to Monaghan Court and discovered Wilson on the floor, clinging to life. Paramedics rushed him to Methodist Hospital where he died a short time after the shooting.

His wife, who was home at the time, escaped without any injuries, police said.

The person who pulled the trigger got away. Officers scoured the area searching for any witnesses who could help find the killer. 

So far, no arrests have been made and a motive has not been determined.
