Grand Prairie police are working to figure out how a man in a home was shot early Tuesday morning.
Police were called to a home on the 2500 block of Crestbrook Lane at about 3:30 a.m. Inside, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
A woman and three children were inside the home as well. The woman told police she doesn't know what happened.
The man was taken to a Dallas area hospital in serious condition.
Police said he was alert and talking to paramedics, but wouldn't answer questions from police.
No one else was injured.
Detectives are still working to figure out what happened.
