Police say one man is in critical condition after being shot by a woman who was in a relationship with him.
Fort Worth police say they responded to a domestic disturbance call at 2401 Emily Dr. around 11:30 a.m. on Monday.
According to Daniel Segura with the Fort Worth Police Department, the man was trying to force his way into the woman's home via the front door. The man punched and kicked the door until he got inside.
The woman inside was armed with a gun and shot the man in the chest. He was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Officers said they learned both the man who they say broke into the home and the woman that shot him "have been involved in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship."
Investigators say they are stil gathering additional details about the incident.
