A Central Texas man blamed for two bank robberies and identified by a teller who worked at both places has been sentenced to 70 years in prison.
A jury in Bryan on Thursday decided the penalty for 62-year-old James Kyle Graham.
Graham was convicted Wednesday of aggravated robbery over the 2013 holdup of First Victoria National Bank in Bryan by a man wielding a nail gun. A Texas trooper later stopped a pickup truck driven by Graham. The officer found about $80,000 in the vehicle.
Ateller during the 2013 holdup told police that she recognized Graham as the gunman who robbed a Guaranty Bank in Bryan in 2009 when she worked at that site.
Graham testified Wednesday that he also carried out the 2009 robbery.
