A Carrollton city worker overcome by heat was rescued from inside a water tower Tuesday.
Firefighters were dispatched to the tower along the 1400 block of Hutton Drive where city officials told NBC 5 that a public works employee was in need of help about 100 feet up on an interior platform of the tower.
The worker was fitted with a harness and lowered to the ground, city officials said.
Shortly after 5 p.m., the worker had been safely removed from the tower.
