A man was killed while changing a tire on an on-ramp to the President George Bush Turnpike early Monday, police said.
According to DPS troopers, the man was found at about 3:15 a.m. Monday after NTTA customer service patrols saw the Jeep on the side of the road.
Police said they believe the man was hit while changing his tire and the car that hit him drove off.
Police are now looking at nearby camera feeds to see if they can locate the vehicle involved.
Despite heavy fog in other places Monday, police say they do not believe the incident is weather-related.
