One man was killed in Richardson after his Jeep hit a light pole, ejecting him.

A 23-year-old man was killed in Richardson after his Jeep hit a light pole, ejecting him.

Police say the man, identified as Riley Law, was heading north on North Star Road around 1:15 a.m., when he lost control.

The Jeep Law was driving then jumped onto the center median, continued traveling about a block, finally hitting the light pole.

The Jeep traveled another 200 feet before stopping in the north bound lanes. Law was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said high speed is a factor in the crash.
