Man Gets 26 Years for Texas Online Prostitution

Brian Phea of Amarillo was sentenced Tuesday

A West Texas man who had a 14-year-old girl bussed from Houston for prostitution has been sentenced to 26 years in prison.

Prosecutors in Midland said Brian Phea of Amarillo was sentenced Tuesday. A jury convicted Phea of sex trafficking of children and promotion of a business involving prostitution.

Co-defendant Trevin Rounds was convicted of possession of child pornography and coercion of a minor. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

Investigators said Phea in March bought a bus ticket for the girl to visit him in Amarillo. He then drove her to Odessa, used the Internet to advertise sex for sale and forced her to have intercourse with an unknown man.

Rounds and the girl were found during a traffic stop in Eden while driving back to Houston.
