Man Gets 14 Years in Wichita Falls Meth Ring

A North Texas man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison for his role in a Wichita Falls-based methamphetamine ring.

A federal judge sentenced 44-year-old Louis Griego Jr. of Wichita Falls. Griego in July pleaded guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute methamphetamine.

Prosecutors on Wednesday announced the sentence for Griego, who was among seven people pleading guilty in the case. A judge in August sentenced 28-year-old Anthony Rueben Johnston to 40 years in federal prison. Johnston pleaded guilty to drug-related conspiracy.

Investigators say Johnston supplied the methamphetamine to Griego for sales in the Wichita Falls area.

Griego was sentenced Monday.
