Man Fatally Shot at Grand Prairie Sports Bar

The victim of a deadly shooting was found in the parking lot of a sports bar

A man, later identified as 21-year-old Raul Bustamante, was shot to death at a Grand Prairie sports bar Sunday at around 3 a.m., according to Grand Prairie police. Bustamante was a member of the local band that was performing at the bar.

Police said they found the victim of the shooting unresponsive in the parking lot of the Los Balones Sports Bar at 500 South Carrier after he had been shot multiple times.

The victim was rushed to the hospital, police said, and was pronounced dead.

According to police, witnesses said that a gray SUV pulled in to the lot minutes before the shooting. They described an unknown suspect who stepped out of the SUV, possibly wearing a mask, and proceeded to shoot the victim more than once.

Police said the homicide is still in its early stages of investigation, but they describe the suspect as a Hispanic male around 21-years-old.

Police are offering up to $1000 for anyone who could provide information on the identity of the shooter.

“Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 972-988-TIPS (8477). Tipsters have the option to remain anonymous using Crime Stoppers and can be eligible for a reward up to $1000,” a press release said.
