Authorities are still searching for a burglary suspect who led Dallas County Sheriff's Deputies on an hourlong chase Thursday afternoon.
Jonathan Moody, 29, who is wanted on a burglary warrant in Denton County, was pulled over by deputies on westbound Interstate 30 near MacArthur in Dallas County.
Moody reportedly gave deputies his brother's name, then drove off while officers checked his identity.
The chase zig-zagged up and down Highway 360, then up and around Trinity Boulevard. Deputies said Moody apparently intentionally wrecked his car along the railroad tracks about one mile west of Highway 360.
Moody then fled on foot into a wooded area near a cluster of apartment complexes, investigators said.
"Once the suspect fled on foot, officers determined that he went into some nearby apartment complexes," said Kim Leach, a Dallas County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman. "We searched the area but didn't find anything."
Deputies searched the area for three hours using K-9 patrols and helicopters. At about 4 p. m., the search was called off.

Leach said deputies will eventually catch up with Moody.
"I'm sure he will probably regret this," she said.
Moody will now face charges of evading arrest and giving false information to a police officer in addition to the burglary charge.
Moody is not considered to armed nor dangerous, Leach said.
