Man Convicted of Fatally Stabbing Ex-Wife

A Fort Worth man has been convicted of killing his ex-wife in a 2013 stabbing attack at her real estate office in the 4200 block of Heritage Trace Parkway two weeks after they divorced.

A Tarrant County jury convicted 50-year-old John St. Angelo of murder in the slaying of 49-year-old Suzanne Parsons of Haslet. Authorities found Parsons stabbed and her throat slashed.

Following a 5-hour standoff at a residence, police arrested St. Angelo a day later

Investigators said Parsons had a protective order against St. Angelo.

St. Angelo of Fort Worth faces up to 99 years in prison as the penalty phase continues Friday.
