Man Charged With Indecency With Child Arrested Again

Investigators say Weatherford man contacted 15-year-old after bonding out of jail

A Parker County photographer charged with indecency with a child is accused of contacting another teen girl after bonding out of jail.

Dax Morgan, 39, was arrested Tuesday in connection with allegations that he lured a 16-year-old girl to his home for what was supposed to be a photo shoot. He was later released on bond.

The Parker County Sheriff's Office said Morgan "immediately made contact with a 15-year-old" girl after he posted bail and was released from the county jail.

"These actions placed him in direct violation of his bond conditions set forth by the court," Sheriff Larry Fowler said in a press release.

Morgan's bond conditions forbade him from contacting anyone younger than 17 who is not related to him or living in his residence, including phone or Internet contact.

Sheriff's investigators obtained an arrest warrant and took Morgan into custody on Friday on a bond violation.

Morgan is well-known to students and parents in the Weatherford Independent School District. As a freelance photographer for a local newspaper, he frequently shoots local high school sporting events.

Investigators said Morgan met the girl in the indecency with a child case on the sidelines of a recent Friday night football game and asked her to come to his home for a photo shoot.

The arrest affidavit states that Morgan took photographs of the girl both clothed and unclothed. Later, he persuaded her to undress so he could give her a full body massage with massage oil, according to the affidavit. The girl then spend the night at his house, investigators said.

According to the arrest affidavit, Morgan worked with students in the Weatherford High School photography club. The district said it not a school-sanctioned group and that Morgan has no official association with the district.
