A Houston-area man has been charged with injury to a child following the death of his year-old son.
Montgomery County jail records show 22-year-old Willie Jackson, of Conroe, was being held Thursday on $200,000 bond.
Online jail records do not list an attorney for Jackson, who was booked Wednesday night.
Conroe police said Jackson, who had been alone with the boy, called 911 Tuesday night to report his son wasn't breathing. Authorities said the boy suffered internal injuries and died Wednesday morning at a hospital.
Further details on the child weren't immediately released.
Police said the boy's mother lives in Dallas.
