Four Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash; Man Arrested: Plano PD

Plano police say they arrested the man they say is responsible for a hit and run crash that left four people injured.

Police say they were called to an accident at Hangout Bar and Grill in the 3300 block of North Central Expressway at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Officers say a white sedan hit four people in the parking lot and left the scene.

Two people were treated and released, two others were transported. One of the victims is in serious condition, the other has life-threatening injuries according to police.

Police say a Plano officer found the car involved in the crash on North Central Expressway near Spring Creek Parkway and took 23-year-old Benjamin Newman into custody.

Investigators say they have not determined if the crash was accidental or intentional.

Newman is in the Collin County Jail charged with driving while intoxicated and causing an accident involving injury. Bond for both charges totals $110,000.
