Man Arrested in Attempted ATM Theft: Dallas Police

Dallas police say a man arrested Friday morning had attempted to cut into an ATM outside a Chase Bank branch in Pleasant Grove, and a second person remains on the run.

A security alert at the Chase Bank in the 1800 block of South Buckner Boulevard indicated someone tampering with the ATM just before 4:30 a.m., police said.

Officers arrived and saw a white GMC Yukon flee the area, and it was found abandoned about eight blocks away, police said.

Alexander Vo, 29, was located nearby and arrested. Police said he was transported to the major crimes unit's serial crimes squad to be interviewed, however, police have not indicated whether Vo is suspected in any of the recent ATM thefts in North Texas.

He remained in custody Friday evening without bond.

Police did not provide a description or any other information regarding the second person who remains on the run following Friday's alleged attempted ATM theft.
