Fort Worth Police Seek Identity of Suspect Accused of Robbing Family Dollar Disguised as a Woman: FWPD

Fort Worth police are asking for the public's help in identifying one of the suspects who they believe was involved in a robbery at a Family Dollar Saturday.

Police held a press conference Monday showing surveillance images of the two suspects, both of whom wore women's clothes, wigs and makeup, police said.

The suspect without an identification was wearing a purse, pants, pink shirt and long wig, police said.

At the scene, police arrested one of the two men who are accused of robbing a Family Dollar store near the 7000 block of John T. White Road, disguised as women and armed with handguns.

Cedric Lamont Sanders was arrested after he was found hiding inside the store, while the second suspect ran away from the scene, police said.

The two men zip-tied a male and female employee of a Family Dollar and attempted to rob the store, according to police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Fort Worth police.

Editor’s Note: This story incorrectly said two people had been arrested. Police said at a press conference Monday that the second suspect remains at large.
