Dallas police arrested a man who punched an off-duty officer in Uptown Dallas early Sunday morning.
It happened in the 2500 block of Cedar Springs Road where the officer was working.
Police said the officer was trying to arrest a man when the suspect punched the officer.
The suspect was subdued and arrested for Assault on a Public Servant.
Emergency crews took the officer to Parkland Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
The names of the suspect and officer have not been released.
