Drivers along Shoreline Boulevard in Corpus Christi should have an easier time getting around.
City officials say major street construction on Shoreline Boulevard has been finished with traffic being diverted to the new lanes Friday.
The upgrade is part of a 2008 bond project to improve the flow of traffic for the scenic boulevard along Corpus Christi Bay. The new realignment provides a large pedestrian area connected to the water and McGee Beach and the Coopers Alley L-Head.
Work remains on improvements for landscaping, driveways and parking lots.
