We check out one kids eat free offering and list lots of others. Makes sense for families and restaurants.
Stop us if you've heard this one before: You take your kids out to dinner. They order the most expensive thing on the menu, only to take two bites and proclaim that they're full. To help you take a bite out of your restaurant bill, we traveled to Beto's in Grand Prairie and the place is busy.
Smart moms like Candice Hilton know Thursday night is when kids eat free. "Most places, a kids meal is going to be, you know, five dollars and we have two and soon another one on the way, so we're saving $10-$15 every time we go out," said Hilton.
Go out to eat a couple times a week and your restaurant bill starts to really add up.
"It's a substantial savings," said Lori Johnson, another Beto's patron."If we don't have the kids eat free option, we can see a $40, $50 bill sometimes and with it, it's almost half, or a third of that."
You could take your kids out to eat free almost every night of the week. You could go to Denny's on Mondays. Chick-fil-A on Tuesdays. IHOP on Wednesdays. Beto's on Thursdays. And so on.
Albert Sanchez, the owner of the Beto's, said it just makes sense for his restaurant.

"I'm a parent of three school-age children," he said. "We're family restaurant and we value our place in the community as a family restaurant so it's kind of a way for us to get back to the community."
It's also good business. The National Restaurant Association says parents with kids account for $17.7 billion in annual restaurant spending. Six out of 10 customers say they take family friendliness into account when picking a restaurant.
"I'd say half of our clientele on Thursday night takes advantage of kids eat free," said Sanchez.
As for Hilton and her clan, she says they'll be back.
"It just makes it a lot more affordable to go out to eat," she said.
There are a huge number of restaurants that offer kids eat free deals. Just make sure to check with each individual restaurants because not all franchises will offer it.
