Lone Star Park Cancels Races for Second Consecutive Night

Lone Star Park at Grand Prairie canceled races for the second consecutive time Saturday night because of the weather, making this the track's first back-to-back cancellation since its opening in 1997.

Races have been rescheduled for Sunday. Gates will open at 11:30 a.m. and the first race will start at 1:35 p.m.

Despite the threat of the storms, 6,069 patrons attended Saturday night. For the three races run, $78,409 was wagered on-track. Another $314,836 was wagered at simulcast outlets across the country for a total of $393,246.
