Trimble Tech senior Dalania Woods is one of 300 students across the nation who will attend college thanks to the Dell Scholars Program.
A Fort Worth teen is one of 300 kids nationwide getting a slice of $6 million for college from the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation Scholarship Program.
The program helps students from low income areas achieve their dream of going to college.
Each student gets $20,000, spread out over six years. Dalana Woods will be the first person in her family to go to college and she said she may not have been able to do it without the extra help.
"It’s going to mean that I’m going to get $5,000 a year, no matter what, and I didn't have that a couple of weeks ago," Woods said.
Woods will attend Spellman College in Atlanta, Ga., this fall.
