Lewisville Worker Monitored Over Ebola Contact

Lewisville-based Nationstar Mortgage said one of its employees is on leave after having contact with a Dallas Ebola patient.

Senior Vice President of Communications John Hoffmann said Thursday that the employee approached them this week of the situation.

The employee was immediately put on leave until a time when health care workers clear him to return to work.

Hoffmann said that the man is not experiencing any symptoms and was doing fine. He also confirmed that the employee had not been to work since last Thursday, at which time neither of the current Ebola patients were showing symptoms.

"We want to say our thoughts and prayers are with the employee and all of those who have been impacted by the disease," said Hoffmann in a release Thursday.

At this time company leaders are keeping all of their facilities open. They said they are in contact with the Dallas County Health Department and have been following guidelines for the illness. They say they don't believe any of their employees or customers are at risk.

"Based on their information, they have told us Nationstar is a safe work environment and there is no risk to our employees," said Hoffmann.
