Lewisville police are trying to find a man who assaulted a teen girl last month after she got off her school bus.
The 14-year-old girl was attacked Sept. 24 in the 800 block of Lakeside Circle. Police released information about the incident Tuesday because investigators were finally able to get a composite sketch of the man.
Capt. Jay Powell said the teenager noticed a white, two-door car following her as she walked toward her apartment building.
"At some point, feels like she's being followed, notices a car traveling near her and then realized there is a subject on foot traveling close behind her," Powell said.
The man yelled at the girl to "come here," but she ran up some stairs to her apartment. He was able to grab her arm and pull down her blouse. She punched him when he uttered a sexually suggestive statement to the girl.
"That's when she hit in the face, knocked his glasses off," Powell said.
Stunned, the attacker grabbed his glasses and ran off.
Police described the man as a Hispanic man with a medium build and dark hair who is 30 to 35 years old with a medium build. He was last seen wearing dark green scrubs and black shoes.
Anyone who recognizes the man should call 972-219-TIPS (8477).
