Late-Night Thieves Target Offices

Electronics stolen from same Irving building twice

Police are searching for as many as six thieves who have broken into North Texas office buildings late at night and stolen computers and other equipment.

In Irving, they struck the same building twice.

"They've become our guests, and I will entertain them,โ€ said Prince Humayun, owner of Prince Computing Corporation.

Humayunโ€™s company, which provides computer consulting for clients worldwide, operates in the Metroport Tower at 2300 Valley View Lane.

He said he has taken extra security precautions to make sure it doesnโ€™t happen again.

Surveillance video shows the same group of thieves broke in about 2 a.m. on May 16, and then did it again at 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

"When they broke in here, five minutes (and) they were done," Humayun said.

In the video, the thieves are seen using a crow bar to shatter a glass door. They even used a cart to haul away big-screen televisions and computers.

Police are investigating but have made no arrests, said Officer David Tull of the Irving police department.
