A 19-year-old truck driver is facing charges after four women were killed in a crash late Saturday night. [[324879441,R]]

The crash happened in the 9800 block of Webb Chapel Road, northeast of the intersection of Interstate 35E and Northwest Highway.

Police said a truck traveling north on Webb Chapel Road collided with a car entering the intersection.

Witnesses of the crash described hearing what sounded like an explosion.

"As soon as the smoke cleared out I realized there was a tiny car that was impaled by a big truck," said Michael Barrow, who lives nearby.

Officers arrested the truck driver, 19-year-old Jose Lule, of Mineral Wells. According to Dallas police, Lule is charged with four counts of an accident involving death. His bond is set at $40,000 ($10,000 for each count).

Barrow said he and his family were shocked to see the people inside the truck trying to leave after the crash.

Police said the driver of the car and three passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The victims, all women and all related, were aged 38, 42, 55 and 65. Their names have not been released publicly pending next of kin notification.

Investigators are still looking into what caused the collision.
