Arlington police say Kennedale High School was briefly locked down Thursday after an attempted home burglary near the school.

Police were called to the 5600-block of Amerada Court at about 10 a.m. after a neighbor spotted a burglary in progress.

Officers arrived as three people were leaving the scene.  All three jumped from a vehicle and ran, but one wasn't quick enough to elude police.

The school was locked down for a short time while officers searched the area for the other two people. At this time, they remain at large.
