Jury Selection Begins Tomorrow for Teacher Charged With Murder

Cary Heath, a former Fort Worth teacher, is accused of killing two of his neighbors

Jury selection is set to begin Tuesday in the murder trial of a former middle school science teacher.

Cary Heath is accused of killing his neighbors, Daniel Haros and Phillip Evans, both 25, outside of a neighborhood Halloween party in 2016.

Heath allegedly spoke with the victims before shooting them outside their home on the 900 block of Buffalo Springs Drive, police said.

Heath, an Air Force veteran and father of four, reportedly told another neighbor that he was responsible for the murders. He was later arrested at Permenter Middle School in Cedar Hill where he was a teacher.

Heath's wife, Tiffany, was accused of tampering with evidence

The motive for the murders is not clear.
