The daughter of a South Texas judge says she is outraged that her father received only a public warning from a state judicial conduct panel.
Hillary Adams response came to the conclusion of a state investigation of her beating by Aransas County Court at Law Judge William Adams eight years ago, when she was age 16. She recorded video of the incident, when she was whipped on the legs with a belt, posted it on the Internet.
The Texas Supreme Court suspended him in November while the Texas Commission on Judicial Conduct investigated, which issued its reprimand Thursday. The judge can appeal or ask the Supreme Court to lift its suspension.
Hillary Adams, who's now 24 and lives in San Antonio, says she's "just furious" over the conclusion.
