Job Fairs Hope to Fill Hundreds of Open Positions

Unemployment rose to 9.7% last month, and appears headed for double digits.

Are you looking for a job?  These three job fairs may be able to help you out in your search for employment.

AAA is looking to fill full-time sales positions and is taking resumes from candidates Thursday between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at their Irving headquarters. All AAA positions receive regular medical, dental, a 401k, the company's pension plan, a free AAA membership and employee insurance discounts. Most of these jobs will be at District Offices in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Prior insurance experience is not required. AAA's headquarters are located at 6555 state Highway 161, near the intersection of SH 161 and John Carpenter Freeway.

Bell Helicopter, Carter Blood Care and JP Morgan Chase join a couple dozen companies taking part in a job fair in Fort Worth Thursday. The job fair will be held at All Saints Catholic Church across from Marine Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Friday, the Allen Event Center is holding a job fair for the new sports entertainment center in Collin County. The Allen job fair runs Sept. 11-12 and is being hosted at the Hilton Garden Inn on Central Expressway.  More than 200 jobs are available.
