Irving police and tactical officers are searching a neighborhood near Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport Friday for a suspected robber.

Police said someone spotted a robbery suspect running toward homes in the neighborhood.

Police would only confirm that they have a tactical team searching homes on the 3500 block of Bob O. Link. The homes are near the intersection of North Belt Line Road and West Rochelle Road, southeast of the airport.

From Chopper 5, a SWAT vehicle, several officers in tactical wear and other police officers could be clearly seen at the scene.

At 2 p.m., officers were preparing to search a house with a robot but also had suspicions that the subject had escaped to Arlington.

No other information has been revealed.

There are no known school lockdowns, evacutions or traffic detours due to the situation.
