Irving MacArthur High School was evacuated Wednesday due to a bomb threat, NBC 5 has learned.
Irving police confirmed to NBC 5 Wednesday morning they were working an investigation at the high school after someone made a "concerning" phone call at about 9:45 a.m.
NBC 5 has learned the caller threatened the school would blow up in 30 minutes and that police recommended the building be evacuated while they conducted a search of the campus.
Officers found nothing during their search and allowed students to return to the building at about 10:45 a.m.
Irving police are investigating the incident and are working to determine who made the threatening phone call.
The high school is the same one once attended by Ahmed Mohamed, a 14-year-old student who was suspended earlier this month after he brought a homemade clock to school that was confused for a hoax bomb. Mohamed never returned to the school and said he planned to continue his high school education outside of the Irving Independent School District.
