Irving Barber Shop Robbery Caught on Camera

Police in Irving are trying to track down two armed robbers who held up a barber shop last Friday.

Police released surveillance video from the VIP Unisex barber shop in the 900 block of East Sixth Street.

Victor Argueta was cutting a customer's hair just before 9 p.m. when he says two armed men wearing masks and gloves barged into the store.

"It was pretty scary because I've never gone through nothing like it and you see your life flashing through your eyes and you think about your family," said Argueta.

In less than a minute, the robbers managed to steal money from the cash register, wallets, cell phones and even a hair clipper before running from the store.

"It's hard to work the whole week and not receive a check because they just rob you, you know? It's pretty hard," said Argueta.

The barber shop's owner, Angelica Guerra, says it took her more than 10 years to open her own business.

"They look like younger guys and they don't need it. They need to work," said Guerra.

If you recognize the robbers from the video or know anything about the robbery you're asked to call Irving Police.
