I-20 Reopens After Cement Mixer Crash

Interstate 30 was closed for several hours Monday afternoon to a four-vehicle crash involving a cement mixer.

Three pickup trucks collided with a cement mixer, which overturned along the highway at about 11:45 a.m. about 1 mile west of Link Crest in far west Fort Worth.

The westbound highway was closed until about 3 p.m., during which traffic was diverted to the service road.  Eastbound traffic was reduced to one lane to allow tow trucks to upright the cement mixer.

The driver of one of the pickups was transported to a local hospital in serious condition. The conditions of the other drivers is not yet known.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
