Hundreds of Balloons to Memorialize Richland Teen

Classmates and teachers of a Richland High School teenager killed in a car crash Saturday will remember her Tuesday by releasing hundreds of balloons.

Kendall Clark, 15, was in the passenger seat while her mom, Tiffany, was driving Saturday night.

North Richland Hills police said Clark’s mother attempted to turn across traffic when her vehicle was struck.  The teen was killed in the crash.  The teen's mother was hospitalized and is currently listed in fair condition and expected to recover.

The school released these details about the balloon launch through social media:

“With great sadness we report the passing of a Richland student over the weekend. There will be a balloon release in celebration of her life at 3:00 on Tuesday at the Richland football field. Please keep the family in your prayers.”

Additional grief counselors will be at Richland High School Tuesday to help students cope with the loss of their friend.
