Homeless Man Killed In Fort Worth

Homeless man victim of homicide

A 51-year-old man whose body was found wrapped in bedding by railroad tracks has been determined to be the victim of a homicide.

The Star-Telegram reports that police found the body of Walter Anders on Wednesday afternoon.

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office determined that he died from gunshot wounds to the chest. Authorities believe Anders was homeless.

The discovery was made after police officers were dispatched to a field following a report that a railroad crew spotted what they thought might be a body.
