Dallas Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man who led them on a high-speed chase through Duncanville, Dallas, Mansfield and Arlington.

Deputies attempted to stop the red Honda near Interstate 20 and Cedar Ridge in Duncanville, but refused to stop, police said. Two people were inside, a male and a female.

The chase wound through the south metro area, winding through Arlington for about an hour before the two people inside the car jumped out and ran on foot near Ida and Jocyle Streets.

Helicopters and K-9 units were brought in to find the two.

Officers said they believed they saw flashes from a gun at one point, but have not recovered a weapon.

The male suspect is facing felony evading charges. The female was detained and released.
