High Chairs Sold in Texas on Recall List

The Chicco Polly High Chair rear pegs can injure children

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling high chairs after receiving reports of children getting hurt against the pegs.

Artsana USA Inc. imported the Chicco Polly High Chair to the U.S. and Canada. About 455,000 units of the high chair were sold in the U.S. and more than 30,000 in Canada.

The USCPSC warns consumers that children can fall on or against the pegs on the rear legs of the high chair. They received 21 reports of similar incidents and four incidents that required medical closure to injuries and one child had a scratched cornea.

The high chairs were manufactured in China prior to Oct. 13, 2010 and sold from January 2005 through July 2012. They were sold at Babies “R” US, Burlington Coat Factory, Buy Buy Baby, Shopko and Toys “R” Us, along with several online retailers.
