Hidden Cash Hunt Comes to Dallas

The new Internet sensation that leads people to free money is coming to Victory Park in Dallas on Monday.

The movement for finding hidden money is making its way around the country. From California to Colorado, now the growing trend of hidden cash is coming to Dallas.

All people need to do is log onto Twitter to possibly become one of the lucky scavenger hunters who will find some hidden cash.

On Monday, 10 envelopes filled with cash will be hidden around Victory Park, each containing $20-$40.

Just like in other parts of the country, mobs of people are expected to show up to find some free money.

“I’m going to come out here and sleep and figure out where the money is because I need that money,” said Khia Ford, of Dallas.

Stacey Monroe is the local organizer who will start giving clues at 6 p.m. Monday on Twitter using the Twitter handle @hiddencashdfw.

She said she's not affiliated with any other hidden cash hunt from around the country. Monroe said she hopes Monday’s hunt will inspire others to give back to the local community.

“I’m in no way, shape or form related to the original hidden cash,” said Monroe. “So, basically they [the public] realize that I’m not a millionaire. I am giving money back to the community and hopefully it encourages others to give back money as well.”
