The Texas House of Representatives Committee on County Affairs will host a press conference Monday morning to provide an update on how the state prepares for Ebola.
Health officials will meet at 10 a.m. and receive an update on Texas' response and preparedness for the current Ebola virus outbreak.
Officials will also discuss how prepared Texas counties, agencies and hospitals are for a future outbreak of any potential diseases like Ebola or swine flue that could affect Texans.
In addition, the committee will cover the state's population growth and its impact as well as current issues the state's jails face.
