The site of a former Grapevine restaurant is heavily damaged after a fire broke out late Friday night.
Firefighters were called to the former Cozymels restaurant on East Grapevine Mills Circle in Grapevine at about 11:45 a.m.
Crews found smoke and flames coming from the roof when they arrived. Eight fire departments responded for assistance in the three alarm fire.
The property was reportedly in the process of being renovated. According to Cozymel's website they served their last guests at the Grapevine location in October 2014.
It is unknown if the renovations were being made to reopen the restaurant or to open another restaurant in its place.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no reports of injuries.
