Grand Prairie Water Supply Line Repaired

The City of Grand Prairie says a water supply line that broke Monday night, sending the city into a water shortage, has been repaired.

Crews had been working since Monday to repair the broken line that supplied a substantial amount of the city's water supply.

According to the city, repairs were completed Wednesday morning and residents can go "back to normal water use."

Amy Sprinkles with the City of Grand Prairie said the water supply never completely ran out in the city, as was previously predicted, due to a signifcant cutback on water usage by the residents of Grand Prairie.

Sprinkles said some residents were without Tuesday and Wednesday due to breaks in other minor water lines, and that any loss of water was not due to the main supply line. Water crews that were working on repairing the main line will now move to repair the other breaks.
