Granbury Police Hope to Identify Inappropriate Photo Victims

Granbury police say a man is accused of taking inappropriate pictures of women without their knowledge, and now investigators are trying to contact potential victims.

Juan Diaz, 25, was arrested after allegedly trying to record up women's skirts, and police confiscated his phone.

Diaz has since bonded out of jail, officials said.

Police released pictures of the women who have not been identified, and police hope they will recognize their clothes and come forward.

"We put a lot of thought into that before we made that decision. We feel like that is the only way we are going to identify those victims. We don't see any other way to do it, and we feel we owe it to the victims to try and identify them and at least get their cases included in this prosecution or file separate cases depending on the circumstances," said Detective Russell Grizzard.

Police were led to the suspect at the Fourth of July festivities in Granbury. Grizzard said two people noticed him recording the videos, so they followed him until police got there. Police then got a warrant for Diaz's phone and found seven videos total. Three were taken at that Fourth of July event.

So far, two of the women have been identified.

Jae Crawford was there with her kids and saw the pictures police released.

"I looked at the pictures to, hopefully, hoping one wasn't me. It wasn't. It's a small town. It's crazy," said Crawford.

This has been very upsetting to employees working at the stores in the Granbury Square. Patty Riley works at Christina's Boutique.

"So glad I wear pants," said Riley.

And at Red's, they are also concerned.

"It was just, he could have been in our store. It was kind of frightening. Our customers come in. We have dressing rooms, so obviously they can change. It's just kind of scary," said Sydney Carder, a Red's employee.

Police believe the other videos were recorded at a Target, an El Rancho Market and a clothing store in the Metroplex.
