Glass Falls from Chase Tower in Dallas

Glass under repair fell from one of the top floors of the 55-story JPMorgan Chase Tower in downtown Dallas Monday.

A bird struck the glass along the 44th floor of the curved roof Saturday, but it was unable to be repaired until Monday morning.

While crews attempted to repair the glass, it fell onto Pearl Street below.

North Pearl Street, between San Jacinto Street and Ross Avenue, was closed for a short time Monday while crews cleaned up the glass.

There were no injuries reported.

Officials with Chase Tower said bird strikes to the building are uncommon and that they only had two reported last year.
