Dallas Fire-Rescue is at the scene of a gas leak at the Housing Authority Building at 3939 North Hampton Road west of Downtown Dallas.

DFR said a 12-inch gas line was cut by workers installing a fence and that repair crews from Atmos Energy have been called to the scene.

The break was first reported at about 3:15 p.m.

At this time, there have been no evacuations and employees are being sheltered in place.

Dallas police have blocked traffic and are rerouting drivers northbound at Puget Street and Leath Street and southbound at Bakers and Angeiline Drive.
