The Grand Prairie Fire Department cleared a residential area that was near a reported gas leak late Thursday night.
Officials said there was a cloud over the area at Great Southwest Parkway and Mayfield Road.
Responders considered an evacuation but later said that nearby residents did not need to be evacuated.
