Retail experts say that by the Fourth of July, most people have already stocked up on summer goods so stores are ready to clear shelves for the next sales event.

Consumer Reports' Mandy Walker says retailers are already looking forward to Fall.

Summer sporting goods, summer gear and apparel, and outdoor patio sets are expected to be deeply discounted this weekend.

"The discounts could be as high as 50, 60, even 75 percent," said Walker.

Car dealers are expected to have sales this weekend as well, but waiting until right before the arrival of next year's model will save the consumer even more.
