Four Arrested in Roanoke Narcotics Raid

Four people are in jail after SWAT officers led an early-morning raid on a house in Roanoke.

Roanoke police were executing a narcotics search warrant at a home on Linda Street and used flash-bang grenades during the raid.

"It sounded like a bomb, really," said neighbor David Blakeley. "It was just like, boom!"

Roanoke police said they found large quantities of marijuana. Officers said they are looking for other drugs inside the house.

Neighbors said the same house was targeted by police earlier this year, with the SWAT team again leading an early-morning raid.

Blakeley said strangers come in and out the house at all hours of the night.

"I've lived on this street pretty much all my life, and I've never seen as much activity on this street as I have in this last year," he said. "It's a small street, there shouldn't be that many cars."

The names of the four arrested people have not been released. Roanoke police said they'll release more information once the investigation is complete.
